Economic and Business Support
One area of specific interest to many citizens is business and economic support. To combat the negative impacts of COVID-19 on Idaho businesses and the economy, the Coronavirus Financial Advisory Committee made CARES Act funding available to citizens across Idaho.
 
Education Support
An area of specific interest to many citizens is education spending. To combat the negative impacts of COVID-19 on education, the Coronavirus Financial Advisory Committee provided CARES Act funding to benefit K-12 and post-secondary education.
 
Local Community Support​
One area of specific interest to many citizens is Local Community support. The Coronavirus Relief Fund was provided to the State of Idaho with guidance on distribution, including funds dedicated to local communities.
 
Public Health Support​​
One area of specific interest to many citizens is public health spending. As leadership enacted stay-at-home orders to flatten the curve, healthcare workers were on the front line to protect others. CARES Act funding was utilized across the state to benefit paramedics, hospitals, fire, and ambulance services. ​
 
Public Safety Support
One area of specific interest to many citizens is public safety spending. CARES Act funding was utilized across the state to benefit police officers, correction officers, correctional facilities, and safety services. Keeping the public safe has been a top priority from the beginning.
 
State Government Support
One area of specific interest to many citizens is spending to benefit state government operations. CARES Act funding was vital to continue the day-to-day business operation of state government while steadfastly adjusting to telework.
 
Other Support​
Some initiatives do not fit into one of the areas of specific interest but are important initiatives for our state. To combat the negative impacts of COVID-19 on the citizens of Idaho, the Coronavirus Financial Advisory Committee provided CARES Act funding to the Idaho Foodbank.
